Vacuna contra covid-19 de Sanofi y GSK no estará lista hasta final de 2021

Los laboratorios franceses Sanofi y el británico GSK anunciaron el viernes que su vacuna contra el covid-19 no estaría lista hasta finales de 2021, después de resultados menos buenos de lo esperado en los primeros ensayos clínicos.

La realización del programa "se retrasa para mejorar la respuesta inmunológica en las personas mayores", dijeron los grupos en un comunicado.

Ahora esperan que la vacuna esté disponible en el cuarto trimestre del próximo año, frente al plan original de presentar una solicitud de licencia en la primera mitad de 2021 y entregar mil millones de dosis ese año.
