Teherán participa desde hace un año en negociaciones directas con las grandes potencias (Estados Unidos, Francia, Alemania, Reino Unido, Rusia y China) para reactivar el acuerdo alcanzado en Viena en el 2015

Teherán. Irán espera la respuesta de Estados Unidos a las “soluciones” planteadas con el negociador de la Unión Europea (UE) encargado de coordinar las negociaciones sobre el programa nuclear iraní para reactivar el acuerdo del 2015, informó el lunes el portavoz del ministerio iraní de Asuntos Exteriores.
"Se han llevado a cabo negociaciones serias y orientadas a obtener resultados, con iniciativas especiales por parte de Irán", declaró a la prensa el portavoz del ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores iraní, Said Khatibzadeh, sin entrar en detalles.
“Si Estados Unidos ofrece una respuesta a algunas de las soluciones planteadas, podemos estar en una posición en que todas las partes regresarán a Viena, donde tienen lugar las negociaciones”, agregó durante una rueda de prensa.
La postura de Washington, en cambio, es menos optimista. El portavoz del departamento de Estado, Ned Price, declaró el viernes que "en este momento un acuerdo está lejos de ser seguro". "Irán debe decidir si quiere concluir un acuerdo rápidamente", agregó.
El coordinador de la UE, Enrique Mora, se reunió la semana pasada durante dos días en Teherán con el negociador jefe de Irán, Ali Bagheri. El encuentro propició a que la UE afirmara que las negociaciones, estancadas desde marzo, fueron “reabiertas”.
El objetivo de las conversaciones es lograr que Estados Unidos vuelva a adherirse al pacto, del que se retiró en el 2018 durante el mandato del presidente Donald Trump. El acuerdo supondría el levantamiento de las sanciones contra Irán y la garantía de que Teherán respete plenamente sus compromisos en materia de energía nuclear.
