The Vatican's takeover of the Peruvian secular congregation Sodalitium Christianae Vitae (SCV) and the accusations of sexual abuse by religious in Chile precede the arrival of Pope Francis, who will visit Chile from January 15 to 18, 2018, and then continue to Peru, where he will remain until January 21. In none of both countries he plans to receive the victims of abuse, a behaviour that marked his visit to Mexico where he declined to meet with the victims of Mexican priest Marcel Maciel from the "Legionaries of Christ"congregation, who died in 2008. / AFP PHOTO / Vladimir RODAS

Santiago.
